TRAVERSE CITY– Funding for Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trail’s Leelanau Trail Campaign got a big boost from a local business. The Hospitalists of Northern Michigan (HNM) announced a $50,000 pledge toward paving the trail. HNM co-founder David Friar explained the group’s motivation for the pledge, “The Leelanau Trail is a year-round asset that is enjoyed by the entire community..."

Charles G. Todoroff, MD was recently elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians. The designation is a mark of esteem from colleagues who recognize accomplishments over and above the practice of medicine. Dr. Todoroff has been of member of the HNM team since 2009.

David Friar MD, SFHM will be an instructor at the Adult Hospital Medicine Boot Camp for PAs and NPs. The event will take place August 10-13, 2011 at the Westfields Marriott Conference Center in Chantilly, Virginia. This highly specialized and educationally intense "boot camp" will immerse hospitalist PAs and NPs in some of the most important topics routinely encountered in adult hospital medicine practice.
