Hospitalists of Northern Michigan is based in beautiful Northern Michigan, serving top-quality hospitals in several of the area’s unique and beautiful resort communities. We span four different health care systems and thus help to tie the Northern Michigan medical community together in a way that has never been enjoyed before.

Munson Medical Center is a tertiary referral and level-two trauma center located in the beautiful Northern Michigan resort community of Traverse City. The American Hospital Association named Munson the annual winner of the McKesson Quest for Quality Prize in 2008 and Munson has been a Top 100 Hospital twelve times, making it the most recognized Top 100 Hospital in Michigan and one of only five hospitals in the nation to achieve this honor so many times. Munson was also the first recipient of the Everest Award in recognition of its leadership in obtaining national benchmarks for quality. Munson Medical Center is a teaching hospital with growing links to Michigan State University, Northwestern Michigan College and Central Michigan University.

Mercy Hospital Cadillac is a Top 100 hospital located in the heart of Northern Michigan. Alpena Regional Medical Center is a growing facility that combines the compassionate care of a community hospital with the cutting-edge technology of a regional referral center. Alpena is located on Lake Huron’s
Thunder Bay and is surrounded by natural beauty. Home of the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, with over 200 shipwrecks, it is a prime destination for boaters and divers.

Dickinson Memorial Hospital has served the central Upper Peninsula of Michigan and adjoining counties of Northeastern Wisconsin since 1951. Continued expansion of services has enabled Dickinson Memorial Hospital to experience tremendous growth over the years. The name Dickinson County Healthcare System was adopted to reflect that growth… it is now much more than a hospital.
